Privacy Policy

This policy explains how 모엔브 (Hoin Lee) (“we”) handles personal data in the iPhone app Booze Jar (술값 저금통 / 酒代貯金箱, the “app”).

Your drinking log, notes, moods and amounts are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us and we cannot see them.
No account, no sign-in. No advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
Payments and purchase verification for Premium are handled by Apple (App Store). We do not receive or store your purchase data.

1. Data that stays on your device

The days you log (dry, moderate, heavy), times, moods, notes, situation tags, drink types, amounts and costs, your average spend per night out, currency, goal, savings targets, language and in-app settings (such as Gani's outfits) are stored in the app's database (SQLite) and in a shared container on your device (App Group) that the Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read. Widgets and the Live Activity (“Gani is resting” on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island) display this data locally and never send it anywhere. Drinking data can be health-related; we do not collect or process it. When you share a card such as the year-in-review, you choose the app and the recipient; nothing is sent to us.

2. Data processed when you buy Premium

Payments and purchase verification are handled by Apple's App Store. The app checks the purchase history Apple provides on your device (product, purchase/renewal/expiry dates, transaction IDs) to unlock and keep Premium, and never sends it to our servers or anyone else.

Payment details and your Apple Account (name, email) are handled by Apple. We do not receive them.

3. When you email us

If you contact us, we use your email address and message only to reply (legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. What we do not collect

We do not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA), location, contacts, photos or Health data. We use no cookies, analytics or ad SDKs, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

5. How long we keep data

On-device log: on your device until you delete it or the app. We keep no copy.
Purchase data: we keep none. Apple keeps your purchase records under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Support emails: deleted 1 year after we have answered.

We do not sell or share your personal data, and we do not give it to third parties except where the law requires it. In the terms of the California Consumer Privacy Act, we do not “sell” or “share” personal information.

We use no service provider (processor) for personal data. App Store payments are a transaction between you and Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.

7. International transfer

We do not transfer personal data abroad. App Store payments and purchase verification are handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.

8. Deleting your data

Undo a log in the app to delete it immediately. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device, including the widget container. Device backups you enabled (for example iCloud Backup) may still contain older copies; you control those in iPhone Settings.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Email contact@makeaiwith.com. Purchase records are kept by Apple; you can review purchases and request refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com. We reply within 10 days (and always within the time the law allows). You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children

The app is meant for adults who want to drink less and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly process personal data of children under 13 (under 14 in Korea, under 16 in the EU). If we learn that we have, we delete it.

11. Security

We minimise data by keeping your log off our servers and rely on iOS app sandboxing and Data Protection for on-device data.

12. Widgets and the Lock Screen

Widgets and the Live Activity can show money saved, your streak and time since your last drink on the Lock Screen, where people around you may see them. Remove the widgets, or turn the Live Activity off in the app under Settings → General.

13. Changes

We will announce changes on this page and in the app's update notes at least 7 days before they take effect (30 days for important changes).
